TransitLink
TransitLink was looking for a full revamp of their website to cater to their wide group of audience, addressing their different needs without having over-cluttered web pages.
TransitLink's website was dated in design, non-mobile responsive and unintuitive for users. The site also has multiple groups of users and there were numerous different information to address the various needs of their audiences which can clutter the site easily.
First, we conducted a UX research through a survey covering over 500 participants and pver 20 interviews with users as well as stakeholders to determine the respective user journeys, pain points for 6 user personas.
Next, we drafted wireframes based on our learnings from the research. These wireframes were drafted to cover the full user journeys, ensuring that the pain points of respondents were addressed.
Then, we transitioned the wireframes to full web designs and high fidelity prototypes. Using the hifi prototypes, we went through multiple rounds of user validations to gather their feedback and improve upon the designs.
For the final website design, we took TransitLink's brand colours and applied modern treatment with gradients to make the website look more interesting. We also created multiple custom illustrations in which many users found delightful.
Outcome
The website was developed using the .NET framework CMS Umbraco and intensively tested to ensure a fast, secure website experience. Users of all age groups surveyed love the new fresh look of TransitLink website and found information to be a lot more intuitive, especially when accessing the website on mobile.
