Top 6 Examples of Irresistible Facebook Ad Copy

May 09, 2023

Content Marketing

Today’s post is on our team’s top 6 examples of irresistible Facebook Ad Copy. We aim to feature best practices via this post so that you can save time and money by learning from some of our best inspirations.

We feature our all-time favourite Ad Copy in each category of the six objectives: (A) Awareness, (B) Content Promotion, (C) Lead Generation, (D) To Drive Sales, (E) Mobile App, and (F) Events. Enjoy!

(A) Awareness

We think that this Facebook Ad is great for building awareness, especially with the millennial and young working adult crowd that they “don’t have time” to read.

Look at this Facebook Ad with a picture of Will.I.Am reading the Wall Street Journal. In spite of being so busy, this global celebrity still reads The Wall Street Journal, a time-saving tool for all modern savvy professionals. The message here is that if you don’t have time and only have just one thing to read, make it The Wall Street Journal.

Pretty cool, don’t you think?

(B) Content Promotion

Moo.com is known globally for its creative team and the excellent use of design in its collateral. The company designs premium name cards, logos, postcards, and stickers.

The caption “It’s hip to be square” really catches your attention because people usually associate “being square” with being boring. Therefore, because the title disrupts your natural thought pattern, it catches your attention. And to use pictures straight from Instagram for your professional business cards?–Who would have thought of this?

And after capturing your attention, there is a button on the bottom right-hand corner asking you to “shop now”. Isn’t that cool?

We say this Facebook Ad is catchy. Great job, Moo!

(C) Lead Generation

We love how REVOLVEclothing pairs its caption with the following three stunning visuals. The phrase “The Secret Recipe” is paired with a photograph of a lady (Probably a French lady) posing sexily in a kitchen. They also used the French phrase “je ne sais quoi” in their caption, therefore priming the reader for a “French Shopping and Fashion Experience”!

To encourage the readers to buy, there is also a special offer of “Free Shipping and Returns”. Now there is no harm to try…

Also, if you ever faced the challenge of an abandoned shopping cart, there is always an option to do retargetting.

(D) To Drive Sales

Facebook ads can also be used in recruitment by Higher Education Institutions.

Here, you can see that EU Business School uses an advertisement to attract international students to “Live and Study Abroad” in Europe. This is aspirational marketing in action, with the intention of driving sales and higher enrolment to the school. A picture of a smiling, confident-looking gentleman is also used, thereby reinforcing the proposition that it is “cool” to enrol in EU Business School. The usage of the colour blue reinforces feelings of trustworthiness as well.

(E) Mobile App

Fancy an app that allows you to “save a little money every day”, and eventually have it accumulate to thousands?

Well, we like this Acorn app because it seems to make a little each day painless. The visuals suggest that it is possible to track savings via the app effortlessly as it is “painless”. The use of green in the visuals suggest wellbeing, which probably is a colour to use to reassure your customers. Last but not least, we like the “Sign Up” button at the bottom right-hand corner. If you find yourself agreeing with the caption, then it is the best sign-up page to head to!

(F) Events

Fancy going to Music Festivals? We love this advertisement!

Firstly, it makes you feel a sense of urgency due to the phrase “Time is Running Out!” Next, the visual shows a stadium full of people, exhibiting social proof. It makes the audience feel that this is THE coolest music event in town they have to go to. And with the pristine beaches and weather, why not buy a ticket?

This is an excellent example of marketing an event on Facebook Ads. Prices are also clearly indicated on the ad itself, so it effectively filters out people who do not want to pay more than the said price, and they would not click on the ad. This lowers Tortuga Music Festival’s Click-Through-Rate from people who cannot afford to pay.

We hope you have enjoyed today’s post on Facebook Ad Copy. There are many more inspiring ads around–you just have to pay attention. Enjoy your week ahead!
