BRIEF & CHALLENGE:

When TransitLink approached us, they wanted to revamp their website which was dated in design, non-mobile responsive and unintuitive for users. There were also multiple groups of users and it was important to address all their different needs without having overcluttered web pages.

PHASE 1

UX Research

We worked the full UIUX research process with a survey covering over 500 participants and over 20 interviews with users as well as stakeholders to determine the respective user journeys, pain points for 6 user personas.

PHASE 2

Wireframes

With the learnings from the UIUX research, we drafted wireframes to cover the full user journeys and ensure that we address the pain points.

PHASE 3

User Testing

We transitioned the wireframes to full web designs and high fidelity prototypes. Using the hifi prototypes, we went through multiple rounds of user validations to gather their feedback and improve upon the designs.

Website Design

We took the brand colours of TransitLink and applied modern treatment with gradients to make the website look more interesting. We also created multiple custom illustrations which many users found delightful.

SOLUTION & OUTCOME:

The website was developed using the .NET framework CMS Umbraco and intensively tested to ensure a fast, secure website experience. Users of all age groups surveyed love the new fresh look of TransitLink website and found information to be a lot more intuitive, especially when accessing the website on the mobile.
