NUS Social Service Research Centre (SSR) was looking to develop an attractive and user-friendly mobile application to support the study on understanding the experiences and challenges faced by young Singaporeans.

BRIEF & CHALLENGE:
NUS SSR was looking for a mobile app that is engaging and will interest the target audience to complete a series of surveys and encourage survey participation. The app also needed to be integrated with a backend to store participants responses and populate relevant in-app content based on individual user’s past responses. The key challenge was to create an app that engages the target audience and maximise their time spent on the app.

Various Survey Question Formats
We developed different question formats based on the nature of the questions to make the app as simple and user-friendly as possible to encourage survey completion.
Track Survey Progress & Gain Insights on Survey Findings
Users are able to track their survey progress, which serve as a reminder for them to complete any pending surveys. They can also view the overall summary results and gain interesting insights on other users’ responses.
Summary Earnings
Users are able to have an overview of how much they have earned from completed surveys. This incentivises them to complete the designated surveys to maximise their earnings!

SOLUTION & OUTCOME:
The final design of the mobile app featured a clean and minimalistic style, with colourful illustrations to enhance the attractiveness of the app. With its user-friendly interface, the app achieved close to 200K views and an average engagement time of 1.5 hours!
